The Arewa Cohesion for Peace, Unity and Development Initiative (ACI) has congratulated Muslims across Nigeria and beyond on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration, urging citizens and leaders alike to embrace the values of sacrifice, unity, peace, and collective responsibility for national development.
In a statement signed by Dr. Abdullahi Idris, Director General of Arewa Cohesion for Peace, Unity and Development Initiative (ACI), the organization noted that Eid-el-Kabir remains a significant period for reflection on the virtues of patience, compassion, obedience, and love for humanity.
The statement emphasized the urgent need for renewed commitment towards peace, justice, responsible leadership, and national unity, especially at a time when many Nigerians continue to face economic hardship and security challenges.

ACI called on leaders at all levels of government to intensify efforts towards delivering good governance, protecting lives and property, empowering youths, improving access to quality education, and creating sustainable economic opportunities for citizens.
The organization further expressed concern over the persistent insecurity, banditry, kidnapping, and violence affecting many communities across Northern Nigeria and the country as a whole, stressing that Nigerians deserve to live in peace, dignity, and hope.
According to the statement, citizens must continue to promote religious tolerance, peaceful coexistence, and civic responsibility while supporting every genuine effort aimed at rebuilding the region and securing a better future for generations to come.
“Together, through unity and collective responsibility, Arewa shall rise again. Peace is a choice. Unity is a responsibility,” the statement added.
ACI wished all Muslim faithful a peaceful, joyous, and spiritually rewarding Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
