Global hand washing day;Medical practioners sensitizes over 500 Almajirais , and destitutes on Infectious Diseases & climate change.

The founder of a Non Governmental organization that focus on children health and women (women 4 women) in kaduna ,Maryam abubakar has mobiles medical Doctors,Nurses and other health volunteers to sensitizes Almajirai children, destitutes kids and other street childrens that hawk alone kaduna central market road on the importance of washing hand to Reducing the Risk of Common Infections , viruses and bacterial diseases.

She stated this when she takes a campaign to some Islamic Almajirai schools,and some other places in kaduna,which is to mark the world international day on global hand washing,

Maryam says Washing hands is the best way to stop germs from spreading infectious diseases and it is the simplest, most effective measure of preventing the spread of bacteria, pathogens, and viruses that may harm children’s and adult in the community.
Adding also that Hands are the highways to the transmission and spread of bacteria, pathogens, and viruses that cause diseases, food-borne illness, and infections resulting from hospital treatment .
She says Unwashed hands can quickly spread germs around a building via the Door and cupboard handles, kitchen ,Taps of water ,Kettles,Telephones,Photocopier and printer buttons,Mice,Keyboard,Toilet,Hand shake and many domestic object.
She says,”we chooses to celebrate the day through educating Almajirai and other destitutes children simply because we feel they are always left behind in terms of educating them on health matters , and we feel they need to be educated like every other child about preventives ways to avert spread of diseases ”
Maryam says Hand washing is the single most effective way to prevent the spread of infections among childrens.
“we must teach them how to wash their hand before eating and after eating to reduce spread of various diseases associated with lack of washing Hands”
“ these childrens eat food without cleaning their hand, and we feels that there is need to educated them that is why we are here with them “she said’

Additionally , You can also catch germs when you touch contaminated objects or surfaces and then you touch your face (mouth, eyes, and nose).
She warns all Nigerian children’s to stop from eating or drinking all sort of food stuff without washing their hands ,so as to avert germs and other bacterial diseases.
while calling on other NGOs and CSOs ,state and federal ministry of health to double-up effort in raising more awareness to both rural and urban children’s on the importance of washing hands.

She note that Many infections are transmitted to hospital patients from other patients or staff members by poor hand washing techniques. If hospital staff members don’t wash between patients, they carry bacteria and viruses from one patient to another.
She says, “no one care about sensitizing these childrens on topics related to health matters that is why they dedicated 2 days to sensitizes them on how to wash there hands to avoid bacterials”

She says this is the third time, they are celebrating global hand washing day which is 15th October every year.
Similarly another organization which is “foundation for the protection of women and childrens” has also visited some kaduna communities,which is also aimed at raising more awareness and campaign to rural dwellers on the importance of washing hand among teenagers in the communities

The founder Comrade Ramatu tijjani says Handwashing reduces the number of transient organisms on the skin surface and that is why they usually visit local communities and educate them
She says Keeping hands clean through improved hand hygiene is one of the most important steps we can take to avoid getting sick and spreading germs to others.
Adding also that Many diseases and conditions are spread by not washing hands with soap and clean, running water,

Ramatu say Washing hands with soap and water is the best way to reduce the number of germs on them in most situations.
She then called on traditional title holders and religious clerics with women and youth organization to the campaign which is aimed at educating various communities on the vital role of hand washing
