Ikulu Chiefdom Reaffirms Commitment to Strengthening Security and Fostering Development

Ikulu Chiefdom has reiterated its commitment to work with the Kaduna State Government, Zangon Kataf Local Government, and security operatives to strengthen security in the area.

To achieve this, traditional titleholders and other relevant stakeholders gathered at the Agwom Ikulu Palace in Kamuru Ikulu to share ideas and map out strategies for realizing their goals.

Commenting, the Overseer of Ikulu Chiefdom, Mr. Ayasal Anthony, PhD, stated that traditional titleholders must work hard and renew their commitment to assist the government in its efforts to curtail the insecurity that has plagued the area.

Mr. Ayasal Anthony, PhD, who is also the Waziri of Ikulu, emphasized that the Ikulu traditional institution appreciates the measures put in place by the Kaduna State Government to address the insecurity challenges. He noted that the area is now safer and more comfortable for business and daily activities.

He assured the Kaduna State Government that the Chiefdom will bring its best efforts to foster peace, unity, and mutual understanding, which will lead to further progress.

In his remarks, the Chairman of Zangon Kataf Local Government Council, Engineer Joseph Bege Gaiya, stated that Governor Uba Sani’s administration stands out and lives up to expectations in fulfilling its duty to protect the lives and property of citizens, as well as ensure unity within the state.

With this development, the Zangon Kataf Local Government is working tirelessly to include everyone in its efforts to bring more development.

Suggesting a way forward, the Sardauna of Ikulu, Alhaji Isma’ila Yusuf Ashafa, PhD, urged the people of Ikulu to stand firm and protect the interests of the land, while also investing more for meaningful development. According to him, everyone should consider themselves worthy of contributing to the greatness of Ikulu.

Also speaking, the President of the Ikulu Development Association, Mr. Sunday Bature Likoro, expressed his delight at the foresight of Ikulu Chiefdom and its unwavering dedication to ensuring that Ikulu remains a home of peace and security.

He urged the sons and daughters of Ikulu Nation to contribute their quota toward realizing this dream.

Top traditional titleholders of Ikulu Chiefdom, village heads, youth leaders, and others were in attendance.

Since the passing of Agwom Ikulu, His Highness Yohanna Sidi Kukah in December 2024, the Overseer of the Chiefdom, Mr. Ayasal Anthony, PhD, has held a series of meetings with traditional titleholders and other stakeholders aimed at ensuring a brighter future for the land.
