Youthful Leaders Shine: Advocates Praise Elrufai and Adams for Outstanding Governance

In a commendable display of leadership, the Advocates for Responsive Leadership have turned the spotlight on Hon. Bello Nasiru Elrufai, the representative of Kaduna North federal constituency and House Committee Chairman on Banking and Finance, and his counterpart, Hon. Ekene Adams, representing Chikun/Kajuru federal constituency and serving as House Committee Chairman on Youth and Sports.

The advocacy group has lauded both young leaders and elites for their noteworthy commitment to effective governance, citing them as shining examples for the next generation. According to the group, it is imperative for the youth, regardless of their origins, to actively engage in leadership roles, emphasizing the need for competence and performance in these positions.

In a joint statement signed by the Coordinator, Bernard Musa Ghat, and Secretary Comrade Aliyu Muhammad, the Advocates for Responsive Leadership expressed satisfaction with the impactful representation of Hon. Bello Elrufai and Hon. Ekene Adams both at the National Assembly and within their respective constituencies.

The group highlighted the tangible results of their leadership, extending beyond mere rhetoric to address pressing issues on the ground.

The statement emphasized the pivotal role played by young leaders in reshaping the narrative of governance in the country. It called on other young individuals to be inspired by the Philosopher Kings, terming them as future leaders who embody a love for knowledge, truth, and wisdom.

The Advocates for Responsive Leadership underscored the importance of mentorship and guidance provided by leaders like Hon. Bello Elrufai and Hon. Ekene Adams to nurture the next generation of leaders.

Expressing concern over the challenges facing the nation, the group pointed out the longstanding issues of food security, inadequate water supply, deteriorating infrastructure, and a failing educational system. They lamented the impact of poverty on the surge in criminality and immoral acts within society.

The Advocates for Responsive Leadership commended Hon. Bello Elrufai and Hon. Ekene Adams for their exceptional leadership, stating that their conduct goes beyond what is typically expected from leaders in their age brackets. In a call to action, the group urged leaders across political divides and age groups to prioritize the needs of their constituencies, states, and the nation as a whole.

They asserted that only such an approach could guarantee responsive governance that truly understands the challenges faced by ordinary Nigerian citizens.
