The Kaduna State Climate Change Accountability Mechanism (KADCCAM) has commended the Peace Revival and Reconciliation Foundation of Nigeria for its humanitarian intervention in distributing life jackets to water transport users as part of efforts to prevent drowning and safeguard lives.
The commendation was made by the Co-Chair of KADCCAM, Ibrahima Yakubu, who described the initiative as timely and impactful, noting that access to life jackets can significantly reduce the risk of fatalities associated with water transportation.

Hajiya Ramatu Tijjani made the life jackets donation last week to some water rescuer’s in kaduna State with the aim of sthrening their efforts towards saving life of people during flood and other natural disaster
He specifically praised Hajiya Ramatu Tijjani, Women Leader of the Peace Revival and Reconciliation Foundation of Nigeria, for her dedication to humanitarian service and her commitment to protecting vulnerable communities through practical interventions.
According to Yakubu, the Foundation’s efforts demonstrate the importance of community-driven initiatives in promoting public safety, building resilience, and supporting climate change adaptation, especially in communities that rely on water transportation.

He called on government agencies, development partners, civil society organizations, and philanthropists to support similar initiatives aimed at improving water safety and protecting lives across Kaduna State and Nigeria as a whole.
KADCCAM reaffirmed its commitment to promoting climate accountability, disaster risk reduction, and community resilience through partnerships with organizations working to improve the well-being and safety of citizens.
