In a statement made available to the press, the Project Coordinator of the Make Argungu Green Project, Haliru Abubakar Jantullu, said the initiative commenced with the planting of hundreds of trees to help protect the environment against various forms of environmental degradation.

He emphasized that tree planting is one of the most effective ways to combat climate change, reduce soil erosion, improve air quality, conserve biodiversity, and restore degraded land. Trees absorb carbon dioxide, release oxygen, provide shade, help regulate temperatures, and create healthier communities. He noted that planting trees today is an investment in a safer, greener, and more sustainable future for generations to come.

He expressed profound appreciation to every volunteer, committee member, partner, donor, traditional leader, government representative, school, organization, and supporter whose dedication and commitment made the vision a reality.

“This achievement belongs to all of us,” he said.

He further disclosed that more tree seedlings will soon be distributed across communities, adding that priority planting areas have already been identified. He assured the public that updates would be provided as soon as the seedlings arrive and the next phase of the project begins.

Haliru Abubakar Jantullu also stated that children were trained on ways to protect the environment, emphasizing the importance of raising a generation that values environmental conservation and understands the role trees play in protecting the planet.

He called on every resident of Argungu to plant and nurture at least one tree, stressing that environmental protection is a shared responsibility. According to him, every tree planted today contributes to cleaner air, healthier ecosystems, and a more resilient community tomorrow.

Together, we are building a greener, healthier, and more climate-resilient Argungu for present and future generations.

May Almighty Allah (SWT) reward and bless everyone who contributed to this noble cause. Ameen.

🌳 Together, Let’s Make Argungu Green.
💚 Plant Today, Protect Tomorrow.
