Mallam Ali Mohammad Agadez, National President of Tuareg residents in Nigeria, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Muslims across the globe on the commencement of the 2026 holy month of Ramadan.
Speaking with journalists in Kaduna, Northwestern Nigeria, Mallam Agadez emphasized the importance of dedicating the month to prayer, particularly night prayers, and the recitation of the Holy Qur’an.

He urged Muslims to use the sacred period to strengthen bonds with neighbors, irrespective of tribe, culture, ethnicity, or region, in order to promote peace and harmony.
“May your fasting and prayers bring you closer to Allah, and may this Ramadan be a time of happiness, peace, and prosperity for you and your loved ones,” he stated.
Mallam Agadez also encouraged African youth to unite and work toward the progress and development of the continent’s 54 nations. He called on Tuareg people from the Republic of Niger residing in Nigeria and other parts of the world to serve as ambassadors of peace within their communities.
He congratulated the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, and Muslims worldwide, urging all to join hands in praying for global peace and unity.
In addition, he extended his goodwill to Christians across the world as they begin the 40 days of fasting and prayer marked by Ash Wednesday.
He concluded by calling on all citizens to use this sacred season to offer prayers for peace and unity across the African continent.
