The Interfaith Mediation Centre extends heartfelt gratitude to God during this sacred Easter season, a time for reflection, renewal, and prayers for peace. Our thoughts and prayers are especially with the people of Kaduna, Plateau, Zamfara States, and other regions across Nigeria affected by violence. These concerns resonate deeply with our mission and values.

We stand in solidarity with all who seek peace, and we echo a heartfelt call for an end to the suffering and loss experienced by so many. It is our earnest hope that the spirit of peace and reconciliation, central to the Easter message, will touch the hearts of all involved in conflict. We pray for healing, for justice, and for the courage and wisdom to build bridges of understanding and trust.

As enshrined in our Holy Books:

“Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.”
— Hebrews 12:14

“And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth with humility, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace.”
— Quran 25:63

“For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.”
— Matthew 6:14–15

“The recompense for an evil act is an evil one like it, but whoever pardons and makes reconciliation—his reward is [due] from Allah. Indeed, He does not like wrongdoers… But whoever is patient and forgives—indeed, that is of the matters [requiring] determination.”
— Quran 42:40–43

We deeply appreciate all individuals and organizations committed to the ideals of interfaith peace, both within our communities and across Nigeria. Their tireless work in fostering understanding, promoting harmony, and building trust is invaluable.

In a nation often challenged by division, their unwavering efforts shine as beacons of hope, breaking down barriers of prejudice and reinforcing our shared humanity.

We recognize and honor their dedication and the positive impact they continue to make. Their contributions are vital to building a society where people of all faiths can live in harmony and mutual respect—now and for future generations.

May peace prevail in all affected communities, states, and regions of Nigeria
