In a heartening display of interfaith harmony, a group of Muslim in Kaduna congratulates the recently elected Chairman of the Christians Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Caleb Ma’aji, emphasizing his commitment to peace and unity.
Renowned international interfaith specialist and Ambassador of Peace, Hajiya Ramatu Tijjani, expressed her warm congratulations to Rev. Caleb Ma’aji on his recent election as the new Chairman of CAN in Kaduna State.
The newly elected leader, Rev. Caleb Ma’aji, has been a steadfast advocate for love, peace, tolerance, harmony, and unity across all 23 local governments of Kaduna State for many years. Hajiya Ramatu Tijjani offered prayers for his successful leadership, acknowledging him as a beacon for peace in the region.
Ramatu Tijjani, also the National President of the Foundation for the Protection of Women and Children in Nigeria, urged both Muslims and Christians to coexist in peace and harmony.
In a similar vein, Mallam Ibrahim Yakubu, the team leader of the Network of Peace Journalists in Kaduna State, expressed his joy at the election of Rev. Caleb Ma’a’ji as the new CAN Chairman. Yakubu highlighted their collaborative efforts over the past five years on various peace-building initiatives in Kaduna.
Mallam Ibrahim Yakubu affirmed Rev. Caleb’s role as a peace ambassador and representative of unity in the state.
He also mentioned his past collaboration with the former CAN Chairman, Rev. Joseph John Hayap, expressing his commitment to supporting the current CAN Chairman in promoting peace-building stories to enhance the well-being of Kaduna State.
Finally, a call was made to all Muslim and Christian organizations, civil society groups, and citizens to rally support the newly elected Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Uba Sani, in his efforts to bring about positive change and progress in the state.
