Deutsche Welle Hausa at 60: Nigerian Clergy Expresses Gratitude for Service to Humanity”

The General Overseer of Christ Evangelical and Life Intervention Church, and at the same time,the Founder of the Peace Revival and Reconciliation Foundation of Nigeria have extended his warm congratulations to Deutsche Welle Radio – Hausa Service as it celebrates 60 years of existence.

The christian cleric commended the Hausa Service of DW- Germany for its outstanding contribution in educating millions of people across 54 African nations. Through a series of educational programs and daily reporting,

The service has made a profound impact on the lives of women, children, and youths throughout the African continent on educative programs like Himma dai matasa,Mutun-Da- Duniyarsa, lafiya-jari, women program. Dandalin-matasa, Ra’ayin Malamai, sport program, and the review of Afrika a mako .

Pastor Dr. Yohanna Buru made this statement during a presentation in Kaduna, coinciding with the World International Day to End Impunity for Crimes Against Journalists, recognized by the United Nations.

Dr. Buru further shared that he had been honored with honorary doctorate degrees from five European universities in recognition of his role in promoting peace and interreligious tolerance among adherents of various faith-based organizations in Nigeria.

In a remarkable achievement, he was awarded the 2022 World International Interfaith Week and Harmony accolade, triumphing over participants from over 70 different countries in the competition. Dr. Yohanna Buru emphasized that Deutsche Welle Hausa Service played a pivotal role in elevating his profile, thanks to his contributions to peace-building across the 36 states of Nigeria and parts of West African countries.

He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all the staff and management of Deutsche Welle Radio, as well as their correspondents around the world, for their remarkable service and unwavering dedication to humanity.

Dr. Yohanna Buru concluded by announcing that the church will dedicate its Sunday service to offering prayers for the continued success of the Hausa Service and the aspiration to make Radio Hausa a global leader in broadcasting.
