The sir Ahmadu Bello memorial foundation is to collaborate with The Peace revival and reconciliation foundation of Nigeria to promote peace stability in the whole 19 northern states.
The Managing Director ,chef executive officer of the sir Ahmadu Bello memorial foundation Engineer Abubakar Gambo umar disclosed this while receiving on courtesy visit of the founder of the peace revival and reconciliation foundation of Nigeria pastor yohanna buru and his entourage .
He said,Peace is a collective responsibility which must be supported by all ,nothing that NGO have a major role to play toward promoting peaceful co-existence and tolerance in the society.
Engineer Abubakar Umar extolled the virtues of the late premier of the northern Nigeria-sir Ahmadu bello for uniting the people of the region irrespective of their religious,and ethnic differences.
According to him, presently the foundation has put machineries in place towards training more women and youth on entrepreneurship to reduce the burden of unemployment.
He note that insecurity has caused a serious set back to the entire region of Northern Nigeria, stressing the need for every stake holder to support states and federal government toward making the region a better.
While the foundation kick against the activities of rapist in the society, the managing Director of the foundation equally called on authority to punish rapist,so that it can be a lesson to others.
The north has many problems which include Almajiranci, Boko haram, insecurity, and lack of quality education,
He Identify peace revival and recounciliation foundation of Nigeria as partner in progress which should be embraced by all lovers of peace and societal development.
In a remark ,earlier the founder of the peace Revival and recounciliation foundation of Nigeria,pastor yohanna buru said, the visit is aimed at familiarizing the organization with activities of the sardauna memorial foundation and to help promote peace in the north.
He assured to continue to partner with the foundation for the upliftment of the region and the entire nation.
Pastor buru stressed that the problems of insecurity bedeviling the northern region need effective collaboration and support to be addressed
He added that his foundation has supported substantial number of widows and youths on skills acquisition activities ,to help then fend for themselves.
Adding also that , for the past 10 years, he has been visiting top Islamic scholars in the region to strengthen inter-religious Tolerance and to promote peaceful co-existence among different faith base organization in the entire region.
He said, his organization has contributed a lot in terms of tackling ethno-religious and political crisis in kaduna and other neighbouring states
Buru ended by calling on muslims and Christians to forgive each other on places they hut them serves
