Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Maraban Rido, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, received a major boost on Saturday as the Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN) extended its humanitarian outreach to the community under its Macedonia Call Project.

The intervention included the distribution of food and non-food items, Holy Bibles in English and Hausa, as well as Bible storybooks for children a gesture that brought renewed hope and encouragement to hundreds of displaced families struggling with the harsh realities of displacement and economic hardship.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, the IDPs’ Chairman, Comrade Adams Sule, expressed deep appreciation to the Bible Society of Nigeria for what he described as a timely and life-affirming act of compassion.

“This gesture has not only met our physical needs but has also strengthened our faith in God and in the kindness of humanity,” Sule said. “We are truly grateful for your love, compassion, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of displaced persons.”

He further prayed for continued blessings upon the Bible Society of Nigeria, urging other individuals, groups, and organizations to emulate their example.

“As our people continue to face pressing challenges, support like this makes a real difference. Together, we can restore dignity, hope, and a brighter future for internally displaced persons,” he added.

The Macedonia Call Project is one of BSN’s outreach programs aimed at providing spiritual and material support to vulnerable communities across Nigeria
