Humanitarian NGO Commends Teku Farm’s Climate Efforts, Offers Prayers After Fire
The Peace Revival and Reconciliation Foundation of Nigeria has extended heartfelt condolences to Teku Agro and Allied Farm, Kaduna, following a recent fire outbreak that destroyed a storage room containing utensils and essential items.
In a statement issued to the media, the Foundation’s National President, Pastor Dr. Yohanna Buru, sympathized with the General Manager of the farm, Alhaji Ibrahim Salisu (popularly known as Mai Teku), and the entire staff over the unfortunate incident.
He offered prayers for divine restoration of everything lost and asked for God’s protection to prevent future occurrences.
Pastor Buru praised Teku Farm for its continued commitment to environmental sustainability, especially for donating over 2,000 economic trees to religious leaders—both Imams and Pastors for planting in places of worship across the state.
He commended the farm’s annual tradition of distributing trees to combat deforestation, desertification, and the growing threats of climate change.
In response, Alhaji Ibrahim Salisu thanked Pastor Buru for the thoughtful gesture and comforting words.
He explained that the fire occurred at one of the farm’s branches on Sunday, affecting a section where utensils and worship materials were kept.
The incidence happened at one of our center at UTC in the night
He noted that the center is also home to rare plant species like apples, which are being preserved from extinction.
Alhaji Salisu further revealed that the farm management is preparing to pay a condolence visit to Pastor Buru to sympathize with him over the recent passing of his brother.
