Kamuru Ikulu Chiefdom Celebrates Peace and Unity at Historic Ramadan Iftar

The people of Kamuru Ikulu Chiefdom celebrated peace and unity as Christian clerics and their followers attended the Ramadan Iftar at Masjid Ibn Abu Quhaafah Mosque.

The overseer of the Chiefdom, Mr. Ayasal Anthony PhD, who is also the Waziri of Ikulu Chiefdom, initiated the historic Ramadan Breakfast to strengthen peace, unity, and mutual understanding between Muslims and Christians in the area.

The Ramadan Breakfast, attended by both Muslims and Christians, signifies a renewed commitment by Ikulu Chiefdom, under the leadership of the Waziri, to promote good neighborliness and enhance religious tolerance, ensuring that peace continues to reign in the area.

As a result, a cross-section of Muslims and Christians who attended the colorful Iftar expressed their appreciation and commended the Chiefdom for its foresight.

The religious leaders also promised to continue preaching peace and unity among their followers, supporting Ikulu Chiefdom in its quest to ensure that people in the domain continue to live as one family, despite religious, cultural, and tribal differences.

According to them, the Iftar was a joyful and memorable event that will never be forgotten.

Among the personalities who attended the special Iftar were the District Head of Kamuru Ikulu, Mr. Yusuf Zacharia Ashafa; the Secretary to Ikulu Chiefdom, Mr. Silas Kefas Abbott; the CAN Secretary of Ikulu Chiefdom, Reverend Joel Ayuba and his entourage; the JNI Chairman of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area, Sheikh Idris Mohammed; the Chief Imam of Masjid Ibn Abu Quhaafah Mosque; and the Village Head of Kamuru Hausa, Malam Mika’ilu Yunusa, among others.
