Kofar Jatau and Unguwar Fatika Communities in Zaria Local Government area of Kaduna state in collaboration with International Peace and Secure Society ( IPSS) has officially opened it’s office of Rejuvenated Neighborhood watch at Kofar Jatau Zaria City,
Speaking at the commissioning the office at the weekend, the Zaria City Divisional Police Officer CSP Kasimu Abdul charge communities around to make use this opportunity to make the area a crime free.
CSP Kasimu warned that they will not allow any kind of interpearance by women in the name of a bail he said those with such behavior should stopped.
He congratulates Kofar Jatau Community for the efforts they put in making the office s reality.
Earlier in his address, the Director General of International Peace and Secure Society (IPSS) Comrade Yahaya Danjuma said, it is a collective decision with the community to have a full control as well to curtailed the frequent escalations of crime in the community especially by some unknown faces in the area.
Dr. Danjuma said the community Rejuvenated Neighborhood watch volunteers in Kofar Jatau have been coopted into the collaboration of Community Based Security Organization (CCBSO) Kaduna.
According to him, IPSS is aimed at human skills society, Peace building, Non Violent education, promoting safety and security, advocating for community Policing among other issues that may arise.
The IPSS D/G emphasized that this efforts is to curtailed the frequent escalations of crimes within the Kofar Jatau and Unguwar Fatika axis as well to chased away all sort of criminal activities which attracted some unknown criminal faces that turned the area their crime zone in connivance with some perpetrators from the communities.
The occasion has the attendance of NDLEA, NSCDC, Peace Corps, JTF Hisbah and Divisional Police Officers of Danmagaji and Zaria City respectfully.
During the occasion some personalities were honoured with fellowship of IPSS Certificates.
