2023 polls. Imams and pastor’s offers 3 days fasting and prayers towards successful elections
In less than one week to Nigerian presidential elections amids of insecurity challenged,banditry, terrorism, scarcity of fuel and high cost of living .
A Team of volunteer and patriotic imams under the leadership of Alaramma Ibrahim Musa, one of the Northern Nigeria Islamic scholar has mobilizes over 100 Muslims clerics towards praying and fasting for the conduct of 2023 general elections
Stressing all that the country want at this season is prayers and fasting to almighty God for successful conduct of the 2023 polls.
According to him ,the essence of the 3 days prayers and fasting is for almighty God to lead the country towards having peaceful and credible elections before, during and after the elections.
He said, they equally pray for the nation, and all the political aspirant while appealing to them not to take the elections as do or die affairs.
Ibrahim emphasized that As the 2023 general election approaches , All the senatorial, gubernatorial and presidential aspirant need prayers for God’s guidance , success and victory , and hence the need for all faith base clerics to organize a prayer for all the candidates irrespective of their political parties.
“we pray that may almighty God Give them wisdom on how to best represent everyone in the country irrespective of trbe,culture,religion, region,ETC”
“God ,Give our leaders wisdom that they may be able to do things beyond their understanding. Help them to choose the right path when they make decisions on behalf of this nation
They pray for all the gubernatorial and presidential candidate while encouraging them to seek God’s Guidance, and protection before,during and after the general election
Pray that they would seek God first as they seek to serve the country, adding that they pray that candidates would have listening ears and soft hearts to promote Girl-child education,Boost agricultural activities,improvement medical health,
Similarly, a Christian cleric pastor yohanna buru, and the general overseer of Christ evangelical and life intervention ministry kaduna says that they have embark on ceaseless prayers and fasting toward the conduct of peaceful elections 2023
The Christians clergy also says that thay pray for candidates to address Poverty,crimes, unemployement, banditry,kidnapped, Boko haram, IPOP and general insecurity issues bordering the 19 northern states of Nigeria
“we pray for strength and encouragement of our leadrers and election candidates”
Buru added that they would equally pray to God to enable nigeria army defeat Boko Haram and banditry bedevilling peace stability in the country
He said they have mobilised large number of Christian and Muslims scholars to pray for the success of 2023 elections while calling on citizens to kick against vote buying and thuggery among youths
