The Kaduna State Climate Change Accountability Mechanism (KADCCAM) has reminded residents of the forthcoming monthly environmental sanitation exercise scheduled for tomorrow.
In a press statement issued by the Co-Chair, Ibrahima Yakubu, the mechanism emphasized the importance of maintaining a clean environment, urging citizens to take responsibility for cleaning their homes and surroundings.
The statement further called on residents to observe the sanitation period between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. by remaining indoors to ensure full participation in the monthly exercise.
KADCCAM also encouraged citizens to uphold environmental hygiene in order to prevent the spread of diseases, while aligning with practices in states such as Kano, Plateau, and Nasarawa, where end-of-the-month sanitation exercises are regularly observed.
However, the mechanism clarified that individuals on essential duties, including journalists, healthcare personnel, and security operatives, sholuld be exempt from the restriction.
