The Energy and Environmental Law Club (EELC), Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, has paid a courtesy visit to Comrade Jerry Adams in recognition of his valuable contribution, support and commitment towards the successful implementation of the EcoCare Campus Initiative 2026.
The visit, which took place at his office on Thursday, September 3, 2026, provided an opportunity for the Club to formally appreciate Comrade Adams for his support towards the environmental initiative, particularly the campus clean-up project held on August 22, 2026.

During the visit, the EELC presented him with a Certificate of Recognition and Appreciation in acknowledgement of his contribution to the initiative and his continued encouragement of youth-led environmental action.
Speaking during the visit, Comrade Jerry Adams commended the members of the Energy and Environmental Law Club for their commitment to environmental sustainability and community service.
He encouraged the students not to relent in their efforts, emphasizing that meaningful environmental change can begin with small, consistent steps.
He urged the club to remain committed to its environmental advocacy activities and to continue building on the work it has started, stressing the importance of young people taking responsibility for protecting and improving their environment.
In his remarks the President of the club Comrade Muhammed Hasheer Hamzat expressed its gratitude to Comrade Adams for his encouragement, support and willingness to contribute to the success of the Eco-Care Campus Initiative 2026.
The EcoCare Campus Initiative 2026 is organized by the Energy and Environmental Law Club, ABU Zaria, with the aimed of promoting environmental awareness, cleanliness, sustainability and responsible environmental practices within and around the university community.
The EELC reaffirmed its commitment to continuing its environmental advocacy and community-service efforts, while working collaboratively with individuals, institutions and other stakeholders to promote a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable environment.
