In a bid to promote unity and strengthen bonds, the National President of Touareg Residence in Nigeria, Mallam Ali Mohammed Agadez, hosted a gathering at the organization’s national headquarters in Kaduna State, Northwestern Nigeria.
The event was part of the Sallah celebration marking the end of 30 days of Ramadan.
Mallam Agadez explained that the purpose of the gathering was to bring together Nigerians and their Touareg brothers to enhance relationships, encourage peace, and promote unity through get-together eating
At the event, guests were served traditional Touareg tea and a variety of local dishes, all aimed at reinforcing the spirit of friendship and wishing everyone a joyous Sallah celebration.
In his speech, Mallam Ali Agadez urged citizens to pray for the stability of all 54 African nations and called on young people to reject violence, embrace peace, and work toward progress through dialogue.
While discussing the importance of global peace, Mallam Agadez also shared insights into Touareg culture and their traditional tea, “Shayin Buzaje.”
“We are celebrating Sallah by sharing different varieties of tea and foods, as well as strengthening our relationship and brotherhood between Nigeria and Niger Republic,” he remarked.
Pastor Dr. Yohanna Buru, the National President of the Peace Revival and Reconciliation Foundation of Nigeria, also attended the event.
He emphasized the familial bond between Nigeria and Niger Republic, highlighting the importance of deepening friendships and unity between the two nations.
“We share many similarities, and it’s crucial that we continue to foster unity among all African nations,” Pastor Dr. Buru said.
He added, “We are here today to join you in celebrating Sallah, and we wish you a blessed Sallah (Barka da Sallah).”
The gathering featured a variety of traditional Niger Republic dishes, refreshing drinks, and lively music, all contributing to an atmosphere of peace, joy, and unity.
