Pastor Dr. Yohanna Buru, a recipient of the United Nations International Interfaith Week and Harmony Award, has praised Hajiya Rabi Salisu, the Kaduna State Commissioner for the Ministry of Human Services and Social Development, for the successful conclusion of the state’s two-day Women’s Summit.
Pastor Dr. Buru highlighted that the Kaduna State Economic Empowerment Summit 2024 and the Policy Launch are crucial initiatives aimed at empowering women in the state. These efforts, he emphasized, will provide opportunities for women in various sectors of creativity and business, contributing to the reduction of poverty and unemployment, particularly among rural and urban women.

According to Dr. Buru, the summit has already positively impacted thousands of women across all 23 local government areas of Kaduna State, both in rural and urban communities.
He also extended his congratulations to the commissioner for being recognized as the best commissioner in Northern Nigeria.
The clergyman expressed his appreciation for the state government’s continued support for orphanages, noting the significant role these efforts play in uplifting vulnerable children across the state.
Pastor Dr. Buru further commended the launch of the Kaduna State Women Economic Empowerment Policy, along with the Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) and Youth, Peace, and Security (YPS) initiatives. He believes these policies will significantly increase women’s involvement in economic activities and contribute to long-term social and economic development.
He also expressed gratitude to the commissioner for her humanitarian work, including providing essential food aid to internally displaced persons in Maraban Rido chukun local government of kaduna state
Concluding his statement, Pastor Dr. Buru emphasized the willingness of his organization, the Peace Revival and Reconciliation Foundation of Nigeria, to collaborate with the Ministry in promoting peacebuilding efforts aimed at fostering unity among Nigerians, regardless of their ethnic, cultural, or religious backgrounds.
