Pastor Dr. Yohanna Buru, the winner of the United Nations World International Interfaith Week and Harmony 2022, has conveyed his condolences to all the staff of Radio France International (RFI) following the sudden passing of Mallam Salissou Hamissou from the Hausa service.
Expressing his shock over Mallam Salissou Hamissou’s untimely demise, Pastor Dr. Buru prayed to the Almighty God to grant him Aljanna.
Pastor Dr. Yohanna Buru revealed that Mallam Salissou Hamissou and the late Mallam Garba Zaria, both from the same radio house, were his good friends.
Buru added, “We surely belong to Allah, and to Him, we shall return. However, it was with great shock that I received the information about the passing away of one of the best radio broadcasters in the world.”
In a statement released to the press, he extended his condolences to the entire staff of the radio house, including those at the Paris and France embassy offices.
While conveying heartfelt messages to the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), the Press Council of Nigeria, the Guild of Editors, and the Network of Peace Journalists,
Buru emphasized that the late two staff members of the broadcast house were his good friends who always exchanged season’s greetings.
